*Mandel Pettus Brings home 2nd at Bassmaster northern

 Mandel Pettus recently made the trip to Douglas Lake in Cambridge, TN for the first stop of the Bassmaster Northern Opens. He got to the lake 2 weeks in advance doing his pre-fishing with a top competitor of last years Bassmaster Classic, Paul Mueller. He had his ups and downs in practice but found a nice pattern before tournament time. His first two days of fishing were excellent, putting him in P1 going into day three in the c0-angler division. He flipped Hammer Down Bait Company flipping jigs into trees and caught some good fish with that pattern all three days, but he came up just short and ended up 2nd! A great finish for his first Open, he heads into the next event on Lake Champlain with a full head of steam ready to take the win!
